Greetings from Argentina! Last week I had to take a unplanned trip by bus to Chile to renew my passport. We are hoping to have our visa stuff straightened out before Marcy and the girls' tourist visas are up. The bus ride however was amazing. The bus climbs up the Andes, there was snow everywhere. You pass through a tunnel and come out in Chile. Then you descend on the back side of the mountains toward Santiago. I left Quinta Betel at 7am on Thursday and walked back in the door at 9am on Friday, that is with about 17 hours of bus ride squeezed in there- I was tired.

Here at Quinta Betel things are busy. Spring has sprung and the days are warm, the flowers and trees are waking up from the winter. We are planning on starting on the dorms in the next month. The roof on Mario & Marta's house is about 80% complete- we are just waiting on more tiles from the hardware store.

There is a need that we have right now that if you feel that you could with help it would be greatly appreciated. You all know how important a girl's bathroom is, right? In the girl's home there are at any given time at least 10 in the home. These 10 women/girls share 1 bathroom with 1 toilet, 1 tiny sink and a shower. There is an empty room that needs everything, a floor, tile, bathroom stuff, a door, etc. Our goal is to convert this empty space into a bathroom that the adults that care for the girls can share. We also want to renovate the other bathroom and install a 2 sink vanity put in 1 more toilet with stall walls and room off the shower to have a changing area and a shower that is private, making it more like a public bathroom (if you want to be further confused, just check out the attached drawing.) These renovations will allow 5 girls (2 toilets, 2 sinks and a shower) to use the bathroom at the same time instead of 1 like it is now, while having the other bathroom for the adults. The price to make this two-fold project a reality is $1200. We could really use your help to make this happen. I realize that a bathroom is not life or death, but imagine sharing one bathroom with 9 others. We have a hard enough time doing it with a family of four and our girls aren't even teenagers yet... they have 2 in the girl's home. To support this project please go to our website www.theconaways.com. There you will find support information.

Please keep praying for our family and for Quinta Betel. God is doing amazing things and we are so excited to be able to be a part of it. We are grateful for you and are glad that you are part of this ministry.

Happy 4th of July everyone!! I hope everyone had a great one. Although we are far from home and here the 4th is just another day we had a big gathering tonight.
Last night I went to my very 1st soccer game. It was amazing. We were there and waiting for the game to start. The fans are nuts, they all jump up and down at the exact same time and they were singing in unison. It was very loud, if you were to...
