Well we have totally lost track of time. The sun doesn't come up here until almost 9:00 and sets between 6-6:30, short days right now. The work that Everett has done on the house looks great, we still have a lot to do. The house is really old and the plumbing and electrical show it. I am waiting for my extreme makeover team to show up with high hopes that they will transform this worn out house into our comfy home.
The girls and I had a great flight. All of our suitcases and two action packers made it, PTL! We had the best seats in economy on our long flight, first row behind first class, so lots of leg room. I could not have lugged all the carry on around the long Miami airport without my incredible friend Erica. She has been a true blessing. We slept most of the time from Miami to Chile, 8 hour flight. I strongly recommend LAN airlines if you ever fly to South America. they have great service.
On another note, we had a scary accident on Saturday. Everett was playing baseball with David, one of the older kids here who we dearly love (they are all amazing). Everett hit the ball and line drived David. He tried to turn away from it but it hit him just on the outside of the ear. David dropped to the ground like a rock, held his face and screamed. There was blood and Mario, the director, and Jose Luis, the boys home dad, came running and scooped David up and took him to the hospital. Everett fell apart at the fact that he had accidentally hurt one of these kids and couldn't work until he knew David was okay. Thank God he was. He face had swollen up so bad immediately and it hit just below the temporal lobe. David returned with a smile on his face and a huge hug for Everett showing off his battle wound. He did not need stitches.
Kenedie and Hope are so happy here and they love their room their daddy got ready for them. We are still borrowing internet so our contact will be few and farther between until we are able to get our internet up. Keep praying for the container, the safety of the team that will arrive on Friday, and God's continued blessings on Quinta Betel. We love you all and we feel your prayers!
Love,
Marcy
