June 2009
Ready or not here we come! Our departure dates for Argentina have been set and are closing in on us with seemingly still so much to do. Everett will leave on June 17th and the girls and I will follow just three weeks later. This will give me a little extra time to finish up a college class and Everett time to get the house ready and make a visit to the lawyers office to see if our documents are in order for our Argentine visas.
Since we last updated you in March we have raised about 88% of our monthly pledges needed. During the last three months we made a huge stride in raising our pledges and although we still have a small gap to fill we have approval to leave and trust that God will supply our needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Phil.4:19). We have experienced a tremendous response from churches, family, friends, and strangers. If you have found a tug at your heart to support World Hope Outreach but have not made that commitment yet I encourage you to obey God and just see what He will do.
We have experienced such an outpouring of blessings, not just financially in the last several months, but through donations to be sent to Quinta Betel as well. In addition to receiving the donation of a tractor and vehicle, we have had our 40’ shipping container donated, tax services, furniture, clothes, shoes, games, toys, and even hand knit scarves and hats for each child. We are still awaiting a special document from Argentine customs to allow our donated vehicle to ship. Our container is scheduled to be picked up from our house on June 12th with or without the vehicle. But Everett and I have committed the details about the vehicle to God and if it does not go we trust He has a better plan already worked out.
We have teams lined up for next year to come and begin the new building projects at Quinta Betel. Our first project will be to build dorms off of the bath house to host teams and lower the cost of their travel expenses. The dorms will also be used to rent out to youth and church groups in the area for retreats to generate some revenue for the children’s home. Once completed, there will be a separate men and women’s dorm that will accommodate 10-15 persons in each unit. As soon as the dorms are finished construction will begin on our learning center for the kids ( I am really excited about this project). If you are interested in bringing a group or joining up with one please contact us at theconaways@mail.com for more details.
We pray for you, our supporters, often. God promises He will bless those who have blessed us because we could never repay you. Thank you for your prayer and support. Together we will give Hope to the hopeless and show the Father to the fatherless.
All for Him,
Everett, Marcy, Kenedie, and Hope Conaway
