March 2009
We hope that this letter finds you all in good health and with great hope that God will provide. We wanted to bring you up to date with our ministry, family, and our recent pre-trip to Argentina.
We are still holding at about 50% monthly support that has been raised for World Hope Outreach. We need approximately $2,000 in additional monthly support before we can leave and we are standing on faith that this amount will be met by June so that we can leave in time to prepare to receive our first team in July. We have been so blessed to have so many churches in our area open their doors and hearts to us to allow us to share our mission and our vision for Quinta Betel in Argentina. Everett will be traveling to Kentucky at the end of this month to pick up a vehicle that has been donated to Quinta Betel. We will prayerfully be sending it along with a tractor that was donated and any of our other personal possessions that can fit into a 40’ container.
In our last newsletter sent out in December we petitioned you to pray specifically for Kenedie’s health. It would take me to long to go into all the details concerning her heart disease since birth. I know that most of you know her history and her triumphs. When we returned to the states last June I made her annual cardiology appointment for her routine tests. Her doctor saw some things that he did not like on her results and because we are missionaries and are going back overseas he decided to take action now rather that later. During her heart catheterization in November it was determined that her problem could not be fixed by heart cath so her doctor decided that a third open- heart surgery was needed to place an artificial valve and do more repair to her pulmonary artery. She went through the surgery on December 30 and did amazing. Her results have been better than could have been expected. I apologize for not going into detail in our last letter, but we had not told Kenedie yet to guard her from worry and anticipation of her surgery date. We let her enjoy Christmas and then had a special talk a few days before surgery.
Last but not least we finally made it to Argentina for our pre-trip. My words will fall short in describing what this meant to us. Every moment that we spent there was orchestrated by God. We walked the grounds of Quinta Betel and immediately laid hold of the vision for the future. We embraced those children and there was an immediate love and bond. We began friendships that we are assured will be deep, encouraging and will last a lifetime. We were embraced by the directors as the ones they have been waiting for. WOW! As we sat and spent one morning with Mario and Marta, the directors, we listened to their hearts and everything they want and hope for Quinta Betel. Their dreams to build more homes and a learning center are what we envisioned on the first day as we walked the property. We discovered a unity of the heart that only God can create. It was hard to leave Argentina and we are compelled to work even harder now after seeing the faces and the hearts of the ones we are called to embrace.
We thank you for being a part of Quinta Betel. If you find your heart stirred and want to see and feel what we have experienced then please contact us for information about being a part of a short term mission trip. We are planning our groups now for 2010. We will be glad to talk to you about the projects and possibilities for you or a team. It would be our pleasure to host you at our home in Argentina.
May God Bless you and keep you in peace and health!
All for Him,
