We are the Conaway Family, Everett, Marcy, Kenedie and Hope. We have been serving in foreign missions for four years with the Assemblies of God World Missions. Our last assignment took us to Sucua, Ecuador, a very small town eleven hours south of the capital, Quito. While there, we served in a wide range of ministries from pastoring the youth group we founded, medical, construction, discipleship, teaching, music ministry and much more.

At the end of our term in Ecuador, we felt God leading us in one specific direction to minister- compassion ministry. As we came back to the states for our time of furlough, God opened a door and began to unfold his plan for how he would use us in this ministry. We accepted, with complete certainty, the call to follow God to Mendoza, Argentina to assist with the ministry of a children’s home.

This ministry will allow us to reach out to children and youth who have been abandoned and abused and give

them hope. Marcy will have the opportunity to share her gift of teaching through remedial work with the children at Quinta Betel and Everett will be able to teach music and lead praise and worship. We will also assist in many other areas at Quinta Betel such as administration and the day to day care and needs of the children and management of the homes and property. We will also be involved in areas of ministry with the national Assemblies of God church where the children of Quinta Betel attend. Not to mention the impact that our daughters Kenedie and Hope will have on the children from just being around them to laugh and play together. Our daughters share in our excitement equally. Quinta Betel is an answer for our whole family.

God Bless,

Everett, Marcy, Kenedie, and Hope

Greetings from Argentina! Last week I had to take a unplanned trip by bus to Chile to renew my passport. We are hoping to have our visa stuff straightened out before Marcy and the girls' tourist visas are up. The bus ride however was amazing. The bus climbs up the Andes, there was snow everywhere.... Well we have totally lost track of time. The sun doesn't come up here until almost 9:00 and sets between 6-6:30, short days right now. The work that Everett has done on the house looks great, we still have a lot to do. The house is really old and the plumbing and electrical show it. I am waiting for my extreme makeover team to show up with high hopes that they will transform this worn out house into our comfy home... (7/14/2009)

Happy Saturday everyone! I have been in Argentina for over a week now and have just over that amount of time to wait until the rest of the crew arrives. I have been very busy working on the girls room and getting the house ready for them. It is cold here, it finally warmed up the last couple of days,... (6/27/2009)

News About The Conaways

August 2009
As we once again adjust to home in the southern hemisphere it is no more evident that we are "not in Kansas anymore" than when we look up at the night sky. The Northern Star with it's Big Dipper are conspicuously absent and the mighty Orion is upside down. Most of you know (especially Crosby, Stills & Nash fans) that the pride of the southern hemisphere... (9/2/2009)

June 2009
Ready or not here we come! Our departure dates for Argentina have been set and are closing in on us with seemingly still so much to do. Everett will leave on June 17th and the girls and I will follow just three weeks later. This will give me a little extra time to finish up a college class and Everett time to get the house ready and make a visit to... (6/8/2009)

March 2009
We hope that this letter finds you all in good health and with great hope that God will provide. We wanted to bring you up to date with our ministry, family, and our recent pre-trip to Argentina. We are still holding at about 50% monthly support that has been raised for World Hope Outreach. We need approximately $2,000 in additional monthly support before we can leave and we are standing on faith that this amount will be met by June so that we can leave in time to prepare to receive our first team in July.
